Special Funds are distinct projects, initiative or funds that are set apart from our Annual Appeal and/or Endowment programs. Most recently Seattle Prep completed a $17M capital campaign — Level the Field, Raise the Bar — to build the multi-purpose Merlino Center. Below are two other Special Funds worth your consideration.
A COMMITMENT TO CURA PERSONALIS
The Kathy Krueger Student Support Fund
Many students dream of a Jesuit education, but need financial help to make it a reality. Tuition assistance helps those dreams come true. Yet it doesn’t cover many of the essential tools students need to be successful.
Lunch money, transportation to Prep, a Surface, and books. The Kathy Krueger Student Support Fund helps fill the gap for the 31% of Prep students receiving financial assistance with all the “extras” that aren’t really extra. These resources are a crucial part of a successful college preparatory education for all our students.
As the former Director of College Counseling, Kathy managed the Student Support Fund, ensuring that all students had what they needed for success. This commitment to students is why we are proud to provide the Kathy Krueger Student Support Fund. Every gift to this fund helps provide tools for each student to make the most out of their Catholic Jesuit education, an education that empowers them to achieve their dreams and change the world.
We wouldn't be a Jesuit school without the Kathy Krueger Support Fund. As a Jesuit school, we believe that we are here to change the world, to make it a better place. All of us look at our students as treasures. We have a duty to help each other out. I think it does take a village to provide a good education.Andy Hendricks ’83
A COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY
diversity, equity and inclusion fund
Cura Prep means feeling at peace with who you truly are, so that you can live out the life that speaks to you. In finding inner peace, we can go about the world, igniting it with love, respect, justice, and care for all. Cura Prep also means, that in order to care for others and ourselves, we must care for all life that coexists with us. "Panther Alumni ’18
