Athletics

I've seen the power of athletics and the value it can play in developing leadership traits, teaching sacrifice, teamwork and more. I’ve witnessed how co-curriculars can build community and enhance school culture. And, I’ve seen student-athletes grow not only physically, but mentally and spiritually thanks to their time on the field, court, track, course, and in the pool.
— Sam Reed, Athletic Director

What does it mean to be a student-athlete at Prep?

Student first. Athlete second. Our Jesuit, Catholic values shape our athletes at Prep in creating balanced young men and women. We coach that athletics is one part of their lives, not the only part. We teach that an important part of their experience is that they gain a sense of being part of something larger than themselves by playing on a team and where they understand the importance of community. Our students leave knowing that winning is more than just points and trophies.
