Girls Cross Country

Program Philosophy

It is all about the process. We want the girls cross country team to focus on the daily challenge and fun of running a workout. Whether it's 400 meter repeats in the rain or a sunny 45-minute cruise through the Arboretum, Seattle is one of the best running cities in the country and we want the girls to embrace it.

In addition, we want the girls to focus on self-improvement. How much faster can you run in your time at Seattle Prep? Doing your best every day is our team goal. If we focus on improving every day, always doing our best, and enjoying the process we cannot fail.

PROGRAM HEAD

Aimee Corr was hired to lead Prep's girls cross country program beginning in the fall of the 2023-2024 school year. She will also work with our distance track team in the spring.

An accomplished prep and collegiate runner herself, Corr brings a passion for not only the sport but for developing healthy and lifelong habits around running and athletics in general.

Originally from the Milwaukee area, Corr was an individual high school state champion in cross country in the state of Wisconsin, where she placed in the top 10 two other times.  Her prowess helped her earn a Division I scholarship to University of Minnesota, where among other accolades, she was named Academic All-Big 10 during her senior year.

Today, Corr resides in West Seattle with her husband Joe and children Elise and Henry.
