Visual Arts

The Visual Arts classes at Seattle Prep are designed to give students a wide range of experiences in a variety of media. Classes are offered in Freshman Visual Arts, Freshman 2-D Design, Drawing, Printmaking, Pottery, Digital Photography, Digital Drawing and Graphic Design, AP Art + Design, and Portfolio Development during Window Period.

Through the exploration of various techniques, students begin to understand how to express their ideas visually. They learn how to see the world around them through a new lens, and they learn how to discuss, interpret and analyze works of art from the past and present. Through making work, as well as through reflection, students have a deeper understanding of the creative process and how it can impact their ideas, their lives, and the lives of those around them.

Please come celebrate our students’ work during Arts Week. We will have an end of year art show and reception in the PACCAR Commons in the spring.
