IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE CLASS OF 2023
Welcome to Seattle Prep! Now that you are a Prep Panther, there are a few details for you and your parents to complete for a smooth start to your high school career. Please see below for information about an important upcoming event for parents and students.

The English Department and McKay Library are excited to announce a new summer reading program! With a mantra of "read more" and "read widely" Prep is focused on the following summer reading goals:
- Foster a love of reading
- Build a community of readers
- Expose students to new books and genres
- Provide students with some choice
- Accountability without high-stakes assessment

Click here to view the textbook list. Students and parents will receive an email when schedules are available in mid-August. Once they know their class schedules, students can click on the course titles in the table of contents on the textbook list to view the materials needed for each of their classes. We recommend students wait to purchase textbooks until class schedules are available in mid-August for those classes which students are not certain they will be enrolled in.
Fall sports try-outs/practice will begin on Monday, August 26th for all fall athletic programs. If you intend to participate, please ensure you have submitted your physical and emergency form. Also, keep an eye on the athletics website for updated information.
Freshman Parent Night will take place on Monday, August 26th (7-9PM). Our Parent Association will be greeting parents with smiles, coffee, water, and finger foods from 6:30PM-6:55PM in the Paccar Commons. Programming will start promptly at 7PM in the Fr. Thomas F. Healy S,J. Chapel and Theater, The event will be an opportunity for administrators to communicate Prep's Ignatian philosophy and how it relates to academics and student life. This event is for parents only.
Freshman Orientation is on Thursday, August 29th. All freshmen should meet in the Fr, Thomas F Healy S.J. Chapel and Theater by 7:45AM. Programming runs for a full school day (7:45AM-2:40PM). Freshmen will receive their Microsoft Surface on this day. We will provide more detailed information about the event in August.
This year Seattle Prep is again offering four morning bus routes (north, south, east & west) with eleven bus stops beginning the first full day of classes.
The routes will accept registrations until they reach their capacity. The morning shuttle is a safe and convenient way to get to school every morning. Check the schedule on the attached sample agreement to see if there’s a stop near you! An updated 2019-20 Transportation Agreement will be available July 2019. For freshman students interested in participating in sports, in addition to the emergency form above, the athletic eligibility process includes the need for a physical evaluation to take place every two years. Incoming freshmen athletes will need to receive a physical this summer and again during the summer before their junior year. Click Here.

Under state law, all new students are required to submit confirmation that all immunizations are current. Washington State Law prohibits the attendance of students who lack a valid immunization record on file at the school.You must print, complete and sign this form and return it no later than August 1st to Seattle Prep/ Immunization Form– 2400 11th Ave East, Seattle, WA 98102.Copies of other immunization forms from your doctor will not fulfill the requirement unless they are identical to the form on our site and signed by a parent/guardian.
