Twist and Turns
Auden Salazar

Belle King ’25, Rosie Huddleston ’24 and Oliver Martinez ’26 joined a 19-member cast in bringing a masterful production of Into the Woods to the Prep stage—one of two musical productions this year! This challenging musical, composed by genius Stephen Sondheim, delves into a fanciful, imaginary world where fairytales take on a different twist. Into the Woods follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk; and Red Ridinghood, who wishes to bring sweets to her Grandmother. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey into the woods to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them with disastrous results.
