An avid skier, photographer Andrew Johnson ’23 took aim at a sport he had never tried before— snowboarding. On the slopes of Snoqualmie Pass he experimented with a variety of different aspects and angles while skiing to capture this perfect moment of flight. For this well executed shot, Walsworth Yearbooks awarded Andrew honorable mention at their annual 2023 Photo Contest. The competition was stiff with more than 7,600 entries nationwide. Andrew drew technical experience from his role as head photographer on the Prep yearbook staff this past year. He says, “I love photography because it allows me to create and preserve memories and moments in time while also telling a story.
