Seattle Prep offers two Alternative Spring Break experiences and two Summer Immersion experiences. Seattle Prep works with Shirts Across America to send delegations of students to New Orleans over the Seattle Prep Spring Break to help rebuild in the Gulf Coast. We partner with Wheeling Jesuit University’s Appalachian Institute to offer a weeklong program in West Virginia. This experiences focuses on relationship building with Appalachian communities, authentic learning on the challenges and beauties of the region, and reflection.
Our international immersion partners are Education Across Borders (EAB) and Quo Student Travel. The EAB program is a 14-day experience in the Dominican Republic that includes a homestay in a rural coffee farming village, relationship building with a Haitian community outside the city of Santiago and building projects in both communities. Quo offers a 10-day cultural immersion in Vietnam and Cambodia for students interested in learning more about the culture of the region, building relationship with Vietnamese and Cambodian students and meeting the immediate needs of the communities through a service project.
