This is an exciting time for Seattle Prep lacrosse. With more young men playing lacrosse at Prep than ever before, Prep has two full teams competing throughout the Spring season. Both the JV and Varsity teams practice at Montlake field and play under the lights at Lower Woodland for their home games. With more talent arriving each year, quality of lacrosse played on the field has been getting better and better as Prep competes with the best teams in the State. Meet the Coach
Head lacrosse coach, Rich Stearns, grew up playing lacrosse in Scarsdale, NY and went on to play at Northwestern University for four years. Two years ago, Coach Stearns took over as the varsity boys’ lacrosse head coach at Prep. Previously, he had been the head varsity lacrosse coach at the Overlake School in Redmond, as well as at Culver Academy in Indiana, where he led Culver to a state championship.
As the Spring Sports Season comes to a close, its time to look back on the Panthers past Sports Season and see each program's effort to make the state tournament. The boys soccer team wrapped up their regular season with ten wins, three losses, and two ties (10-3-2).
The Bainbridge Spartans (6-4) battle through rain and thunder in a 9-8 overtime victory over rival Seattle Prep Panthers (5-5) on Friday night at Woodland Park. This game was spent tied for nearly 30 minutes of actual game time as these two were prime competition for each other.
