Fall Sports Tryouts
Football for sophomores, juniors and seniors begin on August 15th. Freshman football and all other fall Sports begin on August 20th. Please visit the eligibility list below to ensure your student is cleared to play a sport this season. All documents must be completed prior to tryouts.
The volleyball program will begin tryouts on August 20th. Tryouts will run August 20, 21 and 22nd in the Seattle Prep gymnasium.
August 20, 21 and 22
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Freshman from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
The girls soccer program will begin tryouts on August 20th. Tryouts will run August 20, 21 and 22nd at Lower Woodland #7 (1000 N 50th St. Seattle, WA 98103 – field is on the far end across the street from Green Lake pitch and putt).
Freshman 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors from 3:00 – 5:00 pm
August 21st and 22nd
All student-athletes from 3:00 – 5:00 pm
Boys and Girls Golf
Golf tryouts will take place on August 20, 21 and 22nd. Golfers should meet at 10:15 am at the Jefferson Golf Course putting green on Monday, August 20th. Tuesday will be at Jackson Golf Course and Wednesday will be back at Jefferson Golf Course. Student-athletes will golf 9 holes each day and will be done between 1:30 – 2:30 pm depending on start time. Players will be responsible for paying their own green fee ($15 per day). Panther Pride Football Parent Information Night
August 13th, 6:00 - 7:30pm
The football program is hosting a Parent Information Night for all parents of football players, including incoming freshman, on Monday, August 13th in the Healy Theater from 6:00-7:30pm. This is an opportunity for parents to meet our coaching staff, review and receive a copy of the calendar, learn about support opportunities, and understand what equipment your son will need to begin practicing on Wednesday, August 15th.

Panther Pride JV/Varsity Football Begins August 15th at 2:00 pm
All Junior Varsity and Varsity football players will report to fall camp on Wednesday, August 15th at 2:00 pm. We will begin with a team meeting in Ignatius 103, followed by a 3:10-5:30pm practice that day. Athletes are expected to bring their equipment, team gear, and be prepared for practice. If your child has not been issued his helmet and shoulder pads, please have him arrive at 1:30pm to receive his gear.

All freshman football players will report to fall camp on Monday, August 20th at 2:30 pm. We will begin with a team meeting in Ignatius 100, followed by a 3:10-5:30 pm practice that day. Athletes are expected to bring their equipment, team gear, and be prepared for practice. If your son has not been issued his helmet and shoulder pads, please have him arrive at 1:30pm to receive his gear.

Boys and Girls Cross Country
Boys Cross Country will meet at 3:15 pm on Monday, August 20th in Ignatius I200. Please arrive ready to run with running shoes & a watch. If in need of running shoes, visit a local running store like Super Jock & Jill to get fit properly! Practice will be Monday-Friday and end by 5:00PM.
Girls Cross Country will meet at 3:15PM on Monday, August 20th in Ignatius I201. Please arrive ready to run with running shoes & a watch. If in need of running shoes, visit a local running store like Super Jock & Jill to get fit properly! Practice will be Monday-Friday and end by 5:00PM.
Girls Swim & Dive
Swim team practice will begin on August 20th outside of the Seattle University pool at the Eisiminger Fitness Center (550 14th Ave. Seattle, Washington 98122). Meet outside at the Southside entrance by 4:00 pm for 4:15 – 5:30 pm practice. All swimmers must complete the waiver for Seattle U in order to swim: University Recreation Standard Waiver 2018-19.pdf. Please bring it with you to the first practice.
There will be a retreat earlier in the day open to anyone participating in swim team from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Returning swimmers will be attending and new swimmers are welcome! Please email Program Head Kirsti Rochon at email@example.com to be added to the communication list.
Boys and Girls Crew
Returning rowers will begin on Monday, August 20th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at the College Club (11 E Allison St. Seattle, WA 98012). Selection will take place from Tues - Thursday for the varsity and junior varsity team.
Freshman and novice will start practice on Friday 24th. Any freshman and new rowers should meet in Ignatius 103 immediately after school on this first day. The final novice team being announced by Friday, August 31st.
The below link will access a list of students currently cleared to tryout for a spring sport. It will also indicate if your child's physical is expired or at risk of expiring. Per WIAA rules every student who participates in athletics must have an up to date physical. (Physical's are valid for 2 years.)
