First-time Users: 

A first-time user is someone who has not entered into the Prep Admissions Portal, nor completed any forms for previous applicants.

If you are a first-time user, you can begin the application process by clicking here.  After beginning the process, you will receive an email that will give you access to your user account and a link to set up your password. Your user account and password will then give you access to your Admissions Portal to begin the online application at your convenience.

Returning Users:

If you have already entered the Prep Admissions Portal, or you are a current Seattle Prep parent with a Veracross username and password, you may access the online Admissions Portal here. 

Note: You will not receive a confirmation email when you have completed the application. Within your portal, each section will show a green check mark when complete. 

The applicant must access and send the Confidential School Report/Transcript Request and the Confidential Teacher Evaluation forms to his or her current school using the Veracross admissions portal. Please check with the applicant's school to confirm who should receive each form. 

The applicant’s school must complete and electronically submit the forms to Seattle Prep along with an official transcript. This includes standardized test results and grades from at least 7th and 8th grades by the January 4 deadline. Applicants may want to follow up with their school to ensure that the forms and transcripts have been sent to schooldocs@seaprep.org by the deadline. The Admissions Committee will not consider incomplete applications.

Note: If the applicant's school prefers to complete the PDF version of the school forms instead of using Veracross, please download the School Report and Transcript Request and Teacher Evaluation forms. Then provide the school with the forms to complete and email to schooldocs@seaprep.org.

Applicants in the 8th grade who are interested in visiting Prep for a day should begin the process by first creating an online admissions account in Veracross (step 1 above). Visits take place from October - December. Once the admissions account has been created in the portal, not only can 8th graders register for a visit, but they can also submit an application, electronically send school forms to their school, and track application status. 

Seattle Prep’s primary use for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) scores is to help with class placement for accepted students. While Prep also uses these scores for admissions, they represent a small piece within a multi-layered, holistic review of every application. Aware that some tutoring services advertise HSPT preparation as a paid service, Prep suggests that you save your money. There is no need to prepare for the HSPT. By virtue of being an 8^th grade student, applicants for freshman year have already prepared for the test. Better to concentrate on performance in school than waste time and resources on expensive test-prep tutoring.  Applicants can take the HSPT at Prep on Saturday December 2, 2023 or Sunday, December 3, 2023. 

Online registration for the Seattle Prep test dates must be completed by November 27.  Those who would like to apply to take the test with accommodations must complete the online registration by November 14. You can learn more about the HSPT here.

Online registration for the HSPT at Prep will open in October 2023.

Seattle Prep requires 8^th grade applicants to submit a short video answering an open-ended question. The purpose of requiring 8^th grade applicants to submit a video is to give applicants an opportunity to share something about themselves with our admissions team. Applicants will record themselves responding to a question prompt provided by Prep and submit their video as part of the application process. More details and dates can be found within the admissions portal. The first date is in November.

Registration will open by mid-October within the admissions portal.
