Instructions for Applicants to the Ninth Grade

1.  APPLICATION
All applicants must submit a completed Seattle Prep Application for Admission and fee by January 14, 2013.  There are two ways to complete the application:

• Online Application (click on the link to the left).  Please note!  The online application will be disabled on January 14th at 8:00 am.  You must submit your application before 8:00 am on the day of the January 14th deadline.

The online application fee is $25.  Seattle Prep prefers that applicants to the ninth grade use the on line application if at all possible.  It ensures accuracy of data, is more environmentally responsible and is easy to use.

• Paper Application

If access to technology poses a hardship, applicants may choose to use the paper version of the Seattle Prep application.  Click HERE to download the paper application.  Please mail or hand deliver all paper applications and fees to Seattle Prep by January 14th. The fee for paper applications is $40.

2. SCHOOL FORMS
You must forward the Confidential School Report/Transcript Request Form and the Confidential Teacher Evaluation Form to the applicant's present school. Click HERE to download printable version of the Confidential School Report/Transcript Request Form and click HERE to download printable version of the Confidential Teacher Evaluation Form. The student’s school must complete and send these forms to the Seattle Prep Admissions Office along with an official transcript (most recent standardized test results and grades from at least 7th and 8th grades) by the January 14 deadline. You may want to follow up with the applicant's school to ensure that the forms and transcripts have been sent by the deadline. The Admissions Committee cannot consider incomplete applications.

3. ISEE EXAM
 All applicants to the 9th grade are required to take the ISEE exam. Please go to the ISEE web site at www.iseetest.org for more information about the test and to pre-register for the test. The exam will be offered at Prep on Saturday, December 1st at 9:00 a.m. and on Sunday, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in St. Ignatius Hall.  On line pre-registraton for the Seattle Prep test dates must be completed by November 10th. Applicants may take the ISEE at other sites throughout the Puget Sound area, however testing must take place on or before January 12th.  Refer to the ISEE web site for a list of sites, dates and times and for all instructions regarding fees, registration and sending results to Prep.

4. TUITION ASSISTANCE
