Craig Alan Corkery '65 Memorial Endowment

A Quiet, Capable Chemist

The Craig Alan Corkery ’65 Endowment Fund was established by Jack and Vada May Corkery in the fall of 1989 to honor the memory of their son, Craig Alan Corkery ’65.

As a member of Prep’s class of 1965, Craig was known as a quiet capable student with a keen interest in science and music. “Cork” was the best chemist of the “A” team, belonged to the Debate Club I, Promaters II and III, captained the Archery Team and played guitar in a band. He attended Santa Clara University for three years and the University of WA for two years majoring in chemical engineering.

He and his wife were expecting their first child when suddenly passed away from a sudden aneurysm in 1970.

Jack and Vada May Corkery wanted to honor their son’s Panther legacy by establishing an endowment to provide tuition assistance for students desiring a Prep education. Craig’s legacy will continue to change lives for generations to come.
