Incoming students of German or Mandarin who have completed an in-depth middle school language program may be placed into an upper-level class. German and Mandarin students interested in placing into a higher level are to request an assessment. Final placement for these languages is determined by both level of proficiency as well as course scheduling.

Current German offerings include German 1, German 2, German 3, and German 4. We also offer an AP German class in year 4. Current Mandarin offerings include Mandarin 1, Mandarin 2, Mandarin 3, and Mandarin 4.

Incoming Spanish students who have completed an in-depth middle school Spanish language program have the opportunity for placement into the Spanish Honors program. This program follows the regular Spanish 1 curriculum, but at an accelerated pace.

Current Spanish offerings include Spanish 1, Spanish 2, and Spanish 3 as well as Spanish 1 Honors, Spanish 2 Honors, Spanish 3 Honors, and AP Spanish. We also offer Foundations of Spanish 1 and Foundations of Spanish 2. Our Foundations courses are designed for students who have little or no prior background in learning a World Language and whom would be best supported with particular focus on developing study and learning strategies and foundational skills necessary to acquire a new language.
