Girls' Bowling

Program Philosophy

Welcome Panther Bowlers to our second season! Prepare for fun, competition, and hopefully success this winter and many more to follow. Our practice and match facility is West Seattle Bowl, who are gracious hosts for this program to continue a path of progress.

If you are not confident in your bowling game, but are interested in being a part of the team, our coaches have the tools to help you improve your game both mentally and physically.

This season will test our travel skills as we will be bowling in Everett several times as well as Federal Way during our 18-20 match season.

Our goal every year is a berth in the State Tournament. With a solid practice plan, a new strength program, and one year of experience for our returners; I have confidence a berth can be earned while having a great time enjoying the journey to get there.

Meet the Coach

This is Program Head Mike Massoth's second year coaching girls bowling at Seattle Prep. In his inaugural season the Panther girls surprised everyone winning 7 matches including 3 matches against 4A programs. Previously Coach Massoth ran the Bothell High School boys and girls program from 2004-2006, guiding the girls to state all three years and the boys to state in 2006. Prior to coaching, Massoth bowled collegiately for Washington State University, helping his team to one invitational title in his two years of eligibility.

During the summer Coach Massoth also began the long process of earning additional coaching certifications; continuing to study the sport of bowling and more effective methods of instruction.
